Jafar and Iago are totally BFFs. Watch this movie again and pay attention to their relationship. This isn't the usual evil-guy-and-sidekick dynamic; these guys are Best Dudes 4 Evar. They're equal partners in their attempted coup d'etat. They listen to each other and care about each other. They trade a couple punches and insults but it never threatens their relationship; they've got a total vibe of trust going on. Bros 4 Life.
Jafar doesn't seem like a guy who should have any friends at all, so the fact that he's got this relationship really makes him so much deeper and better of a character, and he was already great just by himself.
My two favorite moments of the film are, first, where Jafar and Iago do that evil laugh thing, and they're kindof waiting for each other's affirmation before continuing; that's adorable. The second moment is where Jafar, the Sultan, and Aladdin (as Ali Ababwa) all three genuinely share this moment of total awkwardness when Jasmine (who is intelligent and confident, and therefore awesome) calls them out on being total misogynists; this is also adorable.

All the best!
I love your style! And just when I though Jafar couldn't possibly be skinnier! This definitely boosts his creepiness factor!
